Grupo Delaware

For Grupo Delaware, skilldeal acted as a consultant for the setup of nearshore operations. The aim was to establish a development centre in Eastern and Central Europe. The choice fell on Lviv, Ukraine. At the start, it was necessary to clarify strategic issues: Clarification of capacity within the company and formulate the objectives.
During the benchmarking, 6 cities in 3 countries have been assessed (Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine). Detailed analysis has been conducted in Iasi, Romania and Kiev/Lviv, Ukraine. We did test recruitments, built up contacts with universities, checked the local real estate market. Together with local partners, we established a local company in Lviv, rented the office, hired the General Manager and started operations before it was handed over to the client.

Navigon AG

Navigon was looking for a location of a new software development centre to complement their team in Germany.  After a thourough analysis of several locations the choice eventually fell on Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
Other sites that we looked at were Poznan (Poland) and  Tallinn (Estonia). We conducted a thorough benchmarking on the labour market, the local infrastructure and the real estate market. For team-building purposes we made valuable contacts with universities and chambers of commerce.
